Dr Congo and M23 Rebels Miss Peace Deal Deadline but will continue to conferences
The Democratic Republic of Congo and the M23 rebels supported by Rwanda were supposed to finalize a peace agreement on August 18, according to a previous commitment signed in July. Although the two parties missed the deadline, Qatar, which mediates the talks, said they were determined to continue the process.
