“ Father’s Day ”, a raw and moving film on fathers absent in black communities

The fifteenth edition of the African Diaspora International Film Festival began in Paris. 11 powerful films around the world are presented. One of the pieces under the spotlights of this year is “Father’s Day” or “Fath’s Day” by Ayana O’shun, a raw and moving look on the absent fathers in black communities, told through powerful stories of Quebec and Guadeloupe. The director was the guest of France 24 in Eye on Africa.
