Launch of Barges caught fire after the pyrotechnic landed on them during a summer fireworks festival in the Japanese city Yokohama on Monday evening.

The fire broke out on two boats used to launch the fireworks. Five workers were rescued after jumping into the sea, according to the Japanese public broadcaster NHK. One was transported to hospital with a minor injury.

The event organizers had planned to launch around 20,000 fireworks in 25 minutes as part of the festival, but the event was canceled as a result of the fire, local media reported.
