Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of the deceased financial Jeffrey Epstein who was sentenced in 2021 for helping her sexually abusing adolescent girls, said on Tuesday by lawyers that she opposes the American government’s attempt to disclose the transcriptions of procedures before the Grand Jury who inflicted it.

In a legal file, Maxwell’s lawyers said that the release of documents would compromise a new potential trial if it succeeded in persuading the United States Supreme Court to cancel its conviction.

“The prejudice of reputation of the liberation of incomplete and potentially misleading testimony of the great jury, not tested by a counter-examination, would be serious and irrevocable,” wrote his lawyers.

President Donald Trump last month asked the Attorney General Pam Bondi to request the release of the Grand Jury of Epstein and Maxwell, while he was trying to repress the dissatisfaction of his basis of conservative supporters and Democrats of the Congress on the processing of business documents.

Trump had promised to make public files related to Epstein if he was re -elected and accused the Democrats of covering the truth. But in July, the Ministry of Justice said that a list of Epstein customers previously praised did not exist, angry with Trump supporters.

A message calling President Donald Trump to publish all the files related to Jeffrey Epstein is projected into the building of the American Chamber of Commerce in front of the White House in Washington, DC, on July 18, 2025.

Testimony can only be not sealed by the judge

The big juries meet in secret to protect themselves against interference in criminal surveys, and the files of their procedure cannot be disclosed without the authorization of a judge.

The United States Ministry of Justice has cited what he calls the continuous public interest in business to ask Manhattan Judges Richard Berman and Paul Engelmayer to authorize the disclosure of Epstein and Maxwell Grand Jury transcription. We do not know if the public would learn something new or notorious if this material was released.

Earlier Tuesday, the Ministry of Justice said in a court to deposit that a large part of the testimony of agents of the law enforcement of the Maxwell Grand Jury procedure in 2020 was corroborated by the victims and the witnesses who testified publicly during its trial the following year.

The lawyers of Epstein and its alleged victims should also share their point of view on potential disclosure with the court on Tuesday.

Maxwell is serving a 20 -year prison sentence after being found guilty of sex trafficking before the Federal Court of Manhattan. Epstein died by suicide in prison in 2019 pending a sexual traffic trial. He had pleaded not guilty.

“Whatever the interest that the public can have in Epstein, this interest cannot justify a large intrusion in the secret of the great jury in a case where the defendant is alive,” the lawyers of Maxwell wrote.

His lawyers told the Supreme Court that his conviction was invalid because an agreement of non-culture and plea that the federal prosecutors had concluded with Epstein in Florida in 2007 also protected his associates. The court should examine the opportunity to resort to the end of September.

Last month, US deputy prosecutor Todd Blanche met Maxwell to see if she had information on other people who may have committed crimes. None of the parties provided a detailed account of what they discussed.

Maxwell last week was transferred from a prison in Florida to a low -security establishment in Texas.
