Glasner is expecting Eze again for Crystal Palace despite Tottenham’s discussions

The manager of Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner, says that he expects Ebelechi Eze to play in the first historic European match of the club this week, even if transfer talks with Tottenham continue.
After the 0-0 palace draw with Chelsea, Glasner said: “There are a lot of rumors on Ebelechi Eze and Marc Guehi, but they were 100% with this group … and they proved it largely.”
Asked about Eze’s situation specifically, the Austrian coach added: “He will come to the Crystal Palace training field tomorrow on Tuesday, we take on Wednesday and I expect him to come back for us against Fredrikstad.”
Palace meets the Norwegian team Fredrikstad during the round of the Europa conference league qualifiers on Thursday, marking its very first appearance in the European competition.
They obtained qualification by winning the FA Cup last season, but were placed in the conference league instead of the Europa League because of the UEFA multi-club property regulations.
Glasner also praised Eze and Guehi in his comments to BBC Match of the Day: “Everyone could see the performances against Liverpool (in the community shield) and today, they were 100% aligned with this team and Crystal Palace.
“As long as they are 100% engaged, they will play because they are so good.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham goes ahead with their offer for Eze.
The reports on Saturday suggested that the Spurs have been in talks since the beginning of last week and are preparing an official offer.
The English international had a liberation clause in his contract worth 60 million pounds sterling plus 8 million pounds sterling in additional modules, but this clause has now expired.
Tottenham would negotiate an agreement on a figure slightly below the complete package.
The palace is faced with a similar situation with Marc Guehi, who attracts a strong interest from Liverpool. The 25 -year -old central rear, which also plays for England, is out of contract next summer.
Last week, President Steve Parish admitted that the club would be willing to collect rather than risking losing it for nothing: the palace values it at around 40 million pounds sterling, but Liverpool hesitates to pay this amount.
