Whether by accident or as a secret teasing, Google has shown a glow of what Smart Google speakers have in store. This week, during the annual annual Pixel event of Google, an unshakable speaker from Google has slipped into a pre-recorded video, and now Android titles indicate that he confirmed that said speaker is, in fact, the variety of Google Home.

Android titles indicate that he has seen additional images of the speaker, which will come in four colors, notably the obsidian, the porcelain, the jade and an unnamed red color. Like the Sneak Peek video suggests, Android is the front page of the Android newspapers says that the speaker will look like an Apple mini homepod slightly squatting, that is to say cylindrical and covered with mesh.

Speaking of HomePod, Android is also newspapers indicates that you can associate the new speaker on Google TV Streamer, similar to how you can configure two of Apple smart speakers for surround sound via Apple streaming box. Like many other speakers, there would be a light around the background that illuminates when the microphone is activated.

The biggest change (hopefully) will be the passage of Google assistant to Gemini. Google has already announced Gemini for the house this week, which will bring more advanced AI capabilities to its smart home ecosystem.

I say “I hope” in this case, given the recent problems with Google Home. Last month, Google Home users reported in mass that the application was broken – some people were not even able to turn on and turn off their lights or access their Nest safety cameras. Google recognized these problems publicly, but that did not prevent the threat of a collective appeal from bubbling.

This is all to say that Google Home and Google’s reputation as a reliable supplier of Smart Home software and hardware are more than ever in danger, and, if a speaker powered by Gemini is a plan in the arm like Google hopes, it could help save a face.

We will have the chance to see what Google has in stores on the smart home front soon. He plans to publish Gemini for the house in October, and although there is no solid release date for his new generation speaker, there is also a chance that he can publish his new equipment at the same time. If a dose of Gemini means that we can all spend less time screaming on a piece of plastic to turn on and turn off our lights, then I will call it a major victory.
