A photograph of altered baseball based on dirt on the ground. The balloon, a classic white sphere with red seams, is slightly off -center, catching light with a subtle radiance. By surrounding the ball, the rich brown expanse of the inner field, punctuated by the low lines of the hitting box and the pitcher's mound. The background shows a blurred green outdoor field under a clear and clear sky, creating a feeling of peaceful solitude.

The chiefs of Major League Baseball (MLB) made the decision of the Guardians closer to Emmanuel Clase and the Starter Luis Ortiz to stay on non -disciplinary paid leave.

It will be “until further notice”, according to an MLB declaration during the weekend.

The announcement comes after Ortiz was initially placed on leave on July 3, Clas, Clase being on leave on July 28 while the League conducted an investigation into sports betting.

At the time, the MLB said that it would not comment on the investigation any more until it was completed, the recent extension of the leave confirming that it remains in progress.

The most recent declaration is as follows: “The MLB and the MLBPA agreed to extend the non -didisciplinary paid authorization of the launchers of Cleveland Guardians Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz until further notice while the MLB continues its investigation.

“We will not comment further until the investigation is finished.” In response, the Guardians said: “We were informed of the extension and will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation.”

MLB decisions: Guardian Clase and Ortiz players have been on leave since July

With the extension, we do not yet know at what stage the survey arises or the duration of the process. According to ESPN, part of the investigation amounts to “the unusual interest of bets for the individual locations of Ortiz in two Guardians games in June”.

The publisher suggests that a sportsbook reported “ Paris suspects ” on the first throw launched by Ortiz to be a ball or a drummer to start the second round of a match on June 15 and again in the third round of a match of June 27.

On leave, the two players are authorized to contact with the organization, but they are not allowed to access the team’s facilities. Cade Smith has largely covered Clase’s position since he was on leave, while Joey Cantillo and Parker Messick assumed the vacant place of Ortiz in the last games.
