Hamas’ response to American peace plans brings “hope and light” to the Palestinians in Gaza
On Friday, a declaration from Hamas said that he was willing to release hostages and to give power to other Palestinians, but that other aspects of Trump’s plan require new consultations among the Palestinians. “Hamas’ response brought hope and light to desperate people here,” said Shrouq al-Aaila, a journalist independent of the Gaza Strip. “I heard applause and celebrations of people who come out of their fortune tents,” she said.
