The former West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker says that Graham Potter “seemed not to know what to do” when the problems of the hammers continued last night with a 3-2 defeat at Wolves in the EFL Cup.

West Ham has lost its first two Premier League games – 3-0 at the newly promoted and 5-1 home in London Rivalsa – and hoped to win a Morale mobilization victory in Molinine.

It seemed that the fact of establishing itself in this way when they put 2-1 with eight minutes to do, but two goals of the replacement at home Jorgen Stand Larsen saw them and led to an angry confrontation with the final whistle between the fans of West Ham and Captain Jarrod Bowen, who had to be withdrawn by his teammates.

‘It looks dark for West Ham’

The defeat aggravates the impression of an unhappy club and reo-coker, which made more than 100 appearances for West Ham and capitalized on the final of the FA Cup 2006, admits that Potter looked without ideas last night.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily Podcast: “It looks very dark for West Ham at the moment. Things are difficult. I think they will be in a relegation battle this season. There was simply no fight or conviviality against Chelsea. They looked like a bunch of individuals.

“The biggest concern is the midfielder because they simply have no legs or dogs of war to win back the ball. They look weak.

“They cannot raise the ball either because there is no real target man. Recruitment has been a big problem at West Ham for some time now. They have no real direction in what they are trying to build or do. ”

West Ham Boss Potter looked lost – Reo -Coker

Potter cut a frustrated silhouette on the sideline against the Wolves and Reo-Coker said he was concerned about his behavior.

He added: “You can always say a lot by the body language of a manager and the facial expressions and a few times when the cameras were turned to him, he seemed to know what to do. Potter looked lost.

“I think most West Ham fans will simply be happy to see them stand this season. There is no other ambition than Premier League survival.”

Potter took care of 22 games for West Ham in all competitions, winning only five – a worse file that the predecessor Julen Lopetegui had before his dismissal.

And he conceded last night, he did not appreciate the current situation.

The former boss of Brighton and Chelsea said: “We all hurt so we need everyone to help, we need everyone’s support, we have to move forward and go to the next match.

“The suffering of the team at the moment, we are all, we all hurt. I can assure you that nobody is happy.”
