Hiromasa Urakawa: The second Japanese boxer dies from brain injury after Tokyo’s event

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) said,, external He “cries the death of the Japanese boxer Hiromasa Urakawa, who tragically succumbed to the injuries suffered during his fight against Yoji Saito”.

After the event, the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) announced that all the fighting of Oriental title and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) will now be 10 rounds instead of 12.

Urakawa is the third high -level boxer to die in 2025 after the Irishman John Cooney died in February following a fight in Belfast.

Cooney died at the age of 28 after undergoing an intracranial hemorrhage of his fight against the Welsh Nathan Howells.
