Hurricane Erin has strengthened at a category 4 hurricane because he threatens to bring currents of surfing and potentially fatal tear on the eastern coast of the United States.

The rains caused by the storm are already starting to hit the southeast Bahamas, and the Turkish islands and caicos, where a tropical storm warning is in force.

Although Erin is not supposed to pull the ends on the islands, it should bring precipitation up to six inches (15.2 cm) to the Turks and Caics and the Eastern Bahamas.

Erin, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season 2025, “exploded was deepening and intensified” Saturday in a category 5 storm, before losing the force briefly and to resume now.

According to the Luma local energy company, more than 150,000 people were left without electricity in Puerto Rico after the strong winds have damaged the electric lines.

But the company said it had made emergency repairs and that on Sunday evening, 95% of its customers had electricity.

Hurricane exterior rain bands began to affect the Bahamas, said US National Hurricane Center (NHC).

Although the storm should not hit the islands directly, the country’s risk management authority has encouraged residents to prepare.

Its managing director, Aarone Sargent, told the Bahamiens to verify which shelters were closest to them and to make sure that they knew alternative shelters if the first was full.

“These storms are very volatile and can make sudden changes in motion,” he said.

NHC forecasts are at the heart of Erin to pass east of the Southeast Bahamas and move between the Bermuda and the eastern coast of the United States in the middle of the week.

He also said that Erin would remain “a dangerous big hurricane” at that time.

Outdoor banks – A series of islands off the CĂ´tes de la Caroline du Nord – are already preparing for heavy surfing and strong winds.

The authorities ordered a compulsory evacuation from the island of Hatteras, warning that the main road connecting the Hatteras to other islands could become impracticable.

The forecasters also warned of dangerous tear tides that could affect the entire east coast of the United States.
