Ice Cube explains why his “War of the Worlds” was so bizarre

Amazon Prime World war Arrived without fanfare on the streamer this summer – to viewers discovered it and realized how deliciously worthy of contempt was. Whether it is the great hero’s moment given to an Amazon delivery drone, or that the oddity to see Dynamic Science Fiction Epic of HG Wells acted entirely on computer screens, it attracted the bad type of attention while offering how fun it can be to see a free creative failure on one of the biggest platforms.
Ice Cube plays an analyst from the Ministry of Internal Security who finds himself on the front line of an extraterrestrial invasion without ever having to leave his office or even to get up from his office chair more than a few times. Before realizing what is really going on, he also gently abuses his surveillance capacities to keep an eye on his pregnant daughter while entering a group of pirates who end up having links with the son on which he is less interested in spying.
On a recent episode of Kai Cenat live (via variety), Ice Cube explained what happened behind the scenes to guide its performance, which consists almost entirely in reaction strokes ranging from slight irritation to the shock. And that turns out … not much?
“(World war) was a film that I made in 2020 during the pandemic, “he said.” We shot it in 15 days, and it was during the pandemic. So the director was not in there. None of the actors (was) there. It was the only way we could really shoot the film. “”
This explains some of the qualities that have made the final product feel soly; Another factor was apparently the time required to compile sequences that do not set off Ice Cube, Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg or one of the other actors presented in the film.
“All images come from real surveillance cameras around the world,” he said.
As we know now, the Amazon intrigue had been in the film from the start; It was at the origin of a universal production before Amazon recovered it at the exit. There is therefore no explanation that the synergy of companies, apart from it, adds an additional quality worthy of laughter to the culmination of the film.
Have you checked World war Again? How do you think Ice Cube mainly directed his own performance?
