In a new book, “Empire of AI: Dreams and Nightmares of Sam Altman’s Openai”, technological journalist Karen Hao recounts the secret and zealous pursuit of general artificial intelligence of society.
Today, Hao joins the show not only to remove the curtain on the interior functioning of the company through its astronomical rise and its very public controversies, but also on the very real human and environmental impacts it has had, all in the name of the progression of its technology.
