Isak "Fitter than expected" in the beginnings of Liverpool -

Liverpool manager Arne Slot said he found a record by signing Alexander Isak “a joy to watch” after making his debut during the 3-2 victory against Atletico Madrid.

The signing of 125 million Sterling pounds from Newcastle started in Anfield and sometimes linked its new teammates, Curling Wide in the first half.

He was not on the match sheet, when Captain Virgil Van Dijk headed for another late winner, but Slot was satisfied with his display.

He said: “Above all I was happy because in the 60 minutes he played, he seemed to be completely fit. It was not as if after 10 minutes, he was already very tired. He could play well at this level after one or two weeks of team sessions.

“So it’s the thing and he can play football and that he is a joy to watch and it is not a surprise for me.

“He was more fit than what I expected, but fans cannot have their hopes too high. We play three times a week and it’s a little too much for him.

“We have two large new numbers and we will use them both throughout their careers here.”
