Japan hangs us some deliveries due to Trump prices

The Japan Post Co. Suspend the expedition of a few small packages to the United States due to new prices imposed by the United States government, as a sign of the way in which President Donald Trump’s samples can have an impact on small businesses and individuals.
The mail service will cease to accept packages that include consumer goods for sale or gifts worth more than $ 100 on Wednesday, after the United States has revoked its price exemption from lower value for the world, according to a statement published on its website.
“It is not clear what are the appropriate processes for maritime companies and postal services under the new guidelines, which makes the operation extremely difficult. We will therefore suspend the acceptance of small packages,” the press release said.
American consumers were able to buy cheap products from abroad under what was called the exemption from minimis, which made it possible to deliver smaller plans to the United States in the franchise of rights.
This price exemption was revoked on May 2 for China and was also repealed for the rest of the world in a presidential prescription signed on July 30 in order to prevent influx of illegal drugs such as fentanyl.
The decision of the Japan Post complies with other national postal services which temporarily suspended their shipping services in the United States, including Great Britain and Australia. For the moment, Japan Post will continue to provide a separate service for deliveries to the United States which complies with the American customs rules, but with much higher costs.
A recent survey on the trade website Ebay users have revealed that fashion items, collector’s products, including cards to be exchanged, as well as automotive parts were among the Japanese items that have sold well in the United States, according to a report by the Japanese commercial organization Jetro.
The same survey has shown that more than 80% of respondents planned to seize markets other than the United States in response to American tariff measures.
