Jason Kelce’s Kids Design Mascot for Late-night ESPN Show


Jason Kelce‘s headline late night talk show it is a family matter.

“The show, obviously, needs its mascot,” Kelce, 37, said on the Saturday, January 18, episode of ESPN’s. They call it Late Night. “We went to find the best team for this project.”

In the recorded episode, Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce – elder They call it Late Night announcer – asked their children to come up with a mascot. Jason and Kylie, 32, share daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 23 months. (Kylie also she is currently pregnant and child No. 4, another girl.)

Before the young Kelces started working on their ideas, Jason tested them on what they knew.

“Do you know what a mascot is? Who the mascot of the Eagles?” He asked, as Ellie recognized Swoop. (Jason played center for the Philadelphia Eagles his entire NFL career before retiring in March 2024.)

“We need to make our own version of Swoop,” Jason said. “And I thought it would be fun if we all did it together.”

Wyatt, Ellie and Bennett then went to paint the scenery – complete with “drink” in hand.

“I think we have a mascot, girls,” Jason said later. “We have Wyatt’s face, Ellie’s body and then we have the ‘pizza hand’ you drew here (and) the ‘chicken legs.’ This is our mascot.”

Wyatt and Ellie they chose to name their mascot “Dragon McFart-Fart Butt-Butt”.

“Well, does it sound Irish?” Jason responded with a laugh, then brought all the footage into the ESPN studio.

Speaking to a live audience, he complained that the girls had “nailed” the filming.

“I think Ellie wanted a face too, but she has a body,” Jason said. “I don’t know how (Kylie) helped Bennie record anything. I never got Bennie to record anything.”

According to Kylie, Bennett gave an “accidental note” that appeared to be legs. The cartoon was the inspiration for the mascot costume that one of Jason’s friends wore throughout the show.

“Hello, I’m Dragon McFart-Fart Butt-Butt. It’s great to be here,” the mascot shouted to Jason and Kylie’s game. “Thank you so much for making me a girl.”

Jason, meanwhile, was horrified that his children had “nailed” the design.

“Well done! I don’t know what else to say,” he continued musing. “It’s great. …I love this thing so much. It turned out great. I wish we had it forever, it’s a shame we only have it for two weeks.”

In Kelce They call it Late Night it airs Saturdays at 1 a.m. ET during the NFL season, which is closed out in February by the 2025 Super Bowl.
