John Mateer refutes game claims, Oklahoma ignoring the NCAA probe


Oklahola strategist John Mateer Was subjected to projectors after screenshots of the references spent in the “sports game” surfaced on his Venmo account, but the incident was rejected as “interior jokes” with friends.
The University of Oklahoma (or) is aware of the content and has opened an investigation into the situation.
The screenshots that were revealed Monday August 11 would have shown that Mateer inserted “Gambling Sports” as labels for transactions on November 20, 2022, rendered on an account in the name of Richard Roaten.
We think he is a former teammate from Washington’s state, where Mateer played at that time.
It is strictly prohibited for student-athletes of university teams to bet on any sport under the banner of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), with severe sanctions for anyone who was involved in the game activity.
“The allegations that I participated once in the sports game are false,” said Mate is X.
“My previous descriptions of Venmo did not precisely portray the transactions in question, but were rather inside jokes between me and my friends.
“I have never bet on sport. I understand the severity of the question, but I recognize that, out of its context, these Veno descriptions suggest the opposite. I can assure my teammates, coaches and NCAA officials that I had sports games. ”

While continuing to collect information, or Athletics has published a statement declaring that it “takes seriously any allegation of play and works in close collaboration with the NCAA in any concern”.
The school added that it was “not aware of an NCAA investigation and has no reason to believe that there is one waiting.”
