Kalshi Backtracks on Student Ambassador Program after backlash

Kalshi quickly deleted a publication on social networks and a registration form relating to a program of student ambassadors for American colleges.
The Kalshi prediction market has announced in a social media article now abolished that it was looking for “ambassadors” on a number of American university campuses. After somewhat, the publication and the related web page have now been deleted.
“Excited to welcome Yale, Harvard, Berkeley, Penn, Cornell, UVA, Michigan, Texas, Stanford and Nyu in our ecosystem both in exchange and in construction,” published the company on the X social media platform, as Gambling Harm reports. “University campuses are the best place to trigger new financial movements and play a key role in bringing it the following 100 million users in the prediction markets.”
The message on X linked to a web page where students could register to promote Kalshi on their campuses, apparently seeking influencers by asking users to provide links to social media profiles. Although sports betting are generally open only at the age of 21 and over, Kalshi – as a prediction platform rather than a traditional Paris site – is open to users aged 18 and over.
KALSHI shortly the betting market
The call for users under the age of 21 is another way in which Kalshi can offer Paris style services where regulated sports books cannot. The platform is facing prosecution for having pretended to offer illegal sports betting in states such as Massachusetts where practice is prohibited.
However, Kalshi has the support of powerful personalities in the United States, with Donald Trump JR seated on the board of directors as an advisory basis, as well as the injection of a substantial amount in financially via the capital of 1789. Kalshi also works with the CFTC to provide more sports betting services.
Before the 2025/26 NFL season, Kalshi made sports betting a central point of its marketing, with advertisements on social networks broadcast on its bets in the NFL available at the national level. The types of available bets are similar to those available on regular sports books, arousing criticism in certain states that contracts are essentially license -free game services.
