Kalshi changes trading hours at 24/7
The Kalshi prediction market has a change, as it announces that it will go to negotiations 24/7 from Thursday, August 7.
The announcement was shared via the company’s discord server at the start of the week, with Event Horizon reporting on the message displayed to users:
“The night orls asked … when can we exchange overnight?” We are very happy to announce our brand new hours of negotiation!
“From this Thursday (August 7, 2025) at 5 am, Kalshi will be open 24/7 to negotiate with the exception of routine interview. Maintenance will take place every week from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.
“New hours:
- Sun: 24/7
- Mon: 24/7
- But: 24/7
- Sea: 24/7
- Game: Closed 3 a.m. – 5 a.m.
- Ven: 24/7
- Sat: 24/7 ”

Kalshi maintenance hours will now take place just on a Thursday
This is a major decision for the brand, because it previously closed between hours from 3 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Eastern time.
At the end of July, the company had informed the Combo Futures Trading Commission that the change will take place. “This file must give an opinion that the schedule of maintenance windows announced on the website will be modified, so that the maintenance windows will occur and that the trading will not be available on Kalshi, during the following hours:
“On a regular basis, hours from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday,” said Kalshi in self -retirement.
This comes after another big announcement which took place at the end of last month, Kalshi and Xai sharing news from a partnership which is “immediately”.
“In force immediately, Kalshi and Xai join forces to bring Grok to the prediction markets. Two of the fastest growth companies in America are now in the same team,” read XAI.
In a shared video alongside news, the Kalshi platform is visible with Grok feeding a “market summary” functionality that develops the market context.
