Appearing on Friday, January 17, episode of The End ShowWinslet, 49, told the host Stephen Colbert about what he calls “the most dangerous animal” in the world.
“I’m not smart with beef,” Colbert, 60, said, prompting laughter from his co-host and audience. “No, no, no, listen, the story is this. Someone told me, ‘Oh, you have to learn to read the cattle field, you have it, you have to be careful because if it turns, it’s gone.’
The Lee The star continued to recall the advice he received, explaining that if you see, “their tails are swishin’ and they’re swishin’ so there’s a fly,” it means they’re not happy. “They might charge you,” he recalled.
Winslet added that she doesn’t realize how dangerous cows can be, telling Colbert that she “travels all the time,” where she often passes “cow fields.”
“I thought he was going to put me down,” Winslet happily finished with a straight face. The statement made Colbert wonder, “Has this ever happened?” where Winslet revealed that cows have hunted her and her mother in the past.
“They were slowly Bo-Peeping and then they sped up, really, really,” Winslet said. “The limit (of) a couple of runners, I would say. However, there are many stories in England about people who live with very dirty cows. Very true. So I am very careful about the cattle farm.”
He also said he wanted to “get better at” his fear, telling Colbert, “It’s not scary, is it? No, it’s not,” before adding that being careful of cows was a “legitimate fear.”
Colbert’s easy-to-understand question was part of what the TV host calls “The Colbert Questionert,” which consists of 15 interview questions to help him get to know his guests. Previous celebrities who have participated in the discussion often include it George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.
As for Winslet, her beef concerns follow the actress’s recollections of her most famous time on screen. In the September 26 episode of “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, hosted by Josh HorowitzWinslet revealed that she is Titanic cost Leonardo DiCaprio he drew his a well-known entrance in “waist-high” water.
“That was a tough tank, that one,” Winslet told Horowitz. “Explosion, it was waist-high, that tank. So, at first, I’m always like, ‘Uh, I’m just going to pee,’ and then I get up, walk out the door, and walk along the edge of the tank that was about 20 feet away, and I had to drop my leg and climb into the tank and urinate and then crawl back to the door.”
She also said that DiCaprio, 49, knelt down during the entire shoot (spoiler alert) events of death, which have been hotly debated for many years.
