A woman known as the “queen of ketamine”, accused of having sold Matthew Perry, the drug that killed her, agreed to plead guilty on Monday.

Jasveen Sangha becomes the fifth and last defendant accused of death by overdose of the Friends Star to conclude an agreement on advocacy with federal prosecutors, avoiding a trial scheduled for September.

She agreed in a signed declaration filed in court to plead guilty to five federal criminal accusations, in particular by providing the ketamine which resulted in Perry’s death.

In a brief statement, Sangha lawyer Mark Geragos said only: “She assumes her actions.”

Prosecutors had thrown Sangha, a 42-year-old citizen from the United States and the United Kingdom, as a prolific drug trafficker known to her clients as the “Ketamine Queen”, using the term often in media versions and legal documents, and even include it in the official name of the case.

Accusations could lead to up to 45 years in prison

She agreed to plead guilty to a chief of charge of maintaining a premises involving a drug, three chiefs of ketamine distribution and a chief of distribution of kétamine resulting in death or serious bodily lesions.

The final advocacy agreement occurred a year after the federal prosecutors announced that five people had been charged when Perry died on October 28, 2023 after a radical investigation.

Sangha admitted in the agreement to sell four bottles of ketamine to another man, Cody McLaury, a few hours before his death from a overdose in 2019. McLaury had no relationship with Perry.

Prosecutors will drop three other chiefs linked to the distribution of ketamine, and a distribution leader of methamphetamine who was not linked to the Perry affair.

Sangha will officially change his plea to guilt at a next hearing, where the conviction will be planned, prosecutors said. She could take up to 45 years in prison. The judge is not obliged to follow the terms of the advocacy agreement, but the prosecutors declared in the document that they would ask less than the maximum.

She and Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who pleaded guilty last month, had been the main objectives of the investigation. Three other accused – Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa and Erik Fleming – agreed to plead guilty last year in exchange for their cooperation, which included statements involving Sangha and Plasencia.

Ketamine was deemed principal of Perry’s death

Perry was found dead in his house in Los Angeles by Iwamasa, his assistant on October 28, 2023. The medical examiner ruled that ketamine, generally used as surgical anesthesia, was the main cause of death.

Sangha presented a chic lifestyle on Instagram, with photos of her with the rich and the famous in the cities of the world. The prosecutors said that she had presented herself in private as a dealer who had sold the same type of high -level customers.

Perry had used ketamine through his usual doctor as a legal treatment, but out of AMM, of depression, which has become more and more common. Perry, 54, looked for more ketamine than his doctor would not give it.

He started getting it from Plasencia about a month before his death, then started to get even more Sangha about two weeks before his death, prosecutors said.

Perry and Iwamasa found Sangha through Perry’s friend, Fleming. In their plea agreements, the two men described the subsequent agreements in detail.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia, the doctor accused of having provided Matthieu Perry Ketamine during the month preceding his death, pleaded guilty to four chiefs of Ketamine distribution. Plasencia is the fourth of the five people charged in the death of Perry to plead guilty.

Fleming sent an iwamasa message saying that Sangha ketamine was “without brand but it is incredible”, according to court documents. Fleming sent a text to Iwamasa that she only treats “with celebrities and celebrities. If it was not great, she would lose her business”.

The two men acting as intermediaries, Perry bought large quantities of ketamine in Sangha, including 25 bottles for $ 6,000 in cash four days before his death. This purchase included the doses that killed Perry, prosecutors said.

The day of Perry’s death, Sangha told Fleming that they should delete all the messages they had sent, according to his indictment.

His house in North Hollywood, California, was attacked in March 2024 by American agents of the administration of the application of drugs who found large quantities of methamphetamines and ketamines, according to an affidavit of an agent. She has been held in federal detention for about a year.

None of the accused has yet been sentenced. Sangha also agreed with his advocacy agreement so as not to contest the seizure of his goods which followed the survey, including more than $ 5,000 in cash.

Perry fought against dependence for years, going back to his time on FriendsWhen he became one of the biggest stars of his generation playing Chandler Bing. He played alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc and David Schwimmer for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 on the Megahit NBC series.
