Kuwait retracts on online game with a new investigation team -

The Interior Ministry of Kuwait (me) announced that its new investigation team had arrested members of an international online game network.

The general department of the criminal investigation carried out seven arrests suspected of being part of an international network linked to the online game and the illegal transfer of profits from abroad. The case began when the authorities have acquired information on illegal social media activities, provoking the creation of a dedicated investigation team.

The operation led to the arrest of seven suspects linked to the illegal network, which would have used businesses such as commercial companies, delivery services, health fairs and clothing and perfumes like Fronts for money laundering.

The Kuwait Times said that the total amount of funds entered amounted to 153,837 kd (about $ 507,600), of which $ 82,000 ($ 82,500) came from foreigners through unofficial channels.

A wider repression of illegal activities in Kuwait

The suspects, the funds seized and the details of the companies involved were all returned to the pursuit of Kuwait, with a collaboration on the survey carried out with the pursuit of money. The ego stressed that the current operation is part of the continuous commitment of the ministry to fight against the crime organized in all forms.

This is taken up by another operation launched at the same time, which has seen the criminal security sector arrest 63 individuals for various violations, in particular labor law offenses, the lack of appropriate documentation and expired work visas.

The ego told Kuwait Times that these efforts were part of continuous efforts to maintain public security and respect the regulation of law across the country, demanding the cooperation of several government agencies.

Kuwait is not the only country in Asia to repress illegal game, Macao and Cambodia also adopting the application of the law of the highest levels of government.
