Liverpool women name the former boss of the city Taylor

Liverpool’s women supported the former Manchester City boss, Gareth Taylor, like their new head coach.
Taylor, 52, spent five years in charge of City before leaving in March.
He replaces Matt Beard, who was dismissed in Liverpool in February by Amber Whiteley assistant taking charge of the team for the rest of the campaign.
Taylor said: “I am delighted to have been appointed new Liverpool head coach.
“Everyone in football knows the history, size and potential of this club, and I really look forward to the task to come.
“Our goal is to create a team whose supporters can be proud, which plays good football and who, hopefully, will bring success along the way.”
Taylor faces a difficult test in his first competition match in charge when Liverpool faces Everton in a Derby Merseyide clash in their WSL opening match in Anfield on September 7.
