We are two weeks old to finally see the film Guillermo del Toro was born to do, Frankenstein. He will be released in theaters on October 17 before his fall on November 7 on Netflix, and the Oscar -winning director shared very beautiful photos behind the scenes.

Above X, Del Toro published nine new photos of the film’s production, some of its actors between Takes, but above all, the incredible miniature work that was done for the film. Large buildings, large courses and massive machines, all created on a very small scale which will seem enormous when you see it in the rooms. Here are these images.

This is what it is about, isn’t it? Building things in real life so that when you see them on the screen, they are actually real, but imbued with the good touch of cinematographic magic. There is no way you think they are mining when you see them on the screen, but they are.

Having not yet seen the film, we cannot confirm what are all these places, but the attention to details and the scale is really impressive. Exactly what we expect from the man who has a second whole house to contain his love of everything related to films, mythology and collectibles.

As for these other new photos, you can consult them with the following links. There is Oscar Isaac (channeling the emblematic artist Bernie Wrightson) on this link, another from Isaac on the set on this link, a really cool retro-backing image of the director of photography of Del Toro, Dan Lauusten, on the set here, and finally one of Star Mia Goth, living in his name, holding a skull.

Written and directed by Del Toro, based on the novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein Stars Oscar Isaac as a titular doctor, Jacob Elardi as his creature, and Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen and Christian Convery, with Charles Dance and Christoph Waltz. He opened in some theaters on October 17 before hit Netflix on November 7.
