A man in Austria jumped on a high -speed train after apparently was left to a station stop.

According to local media, the man, an Algerian aged 24, would have decided to take advantage of a planned stop, a St Poelten, 64 km (60 miles) west of the Vienna capital, for a cigarette break.

It was too late when he realized that the train had started to withdraw from the station, but he made the decision to get into space between two cars, anyway.

He started hitting on the windows to alert his passenger colleagues before an emergency stop was made to allow it on board.

He had an animated argument with the conductor, said the Austrian tabloid Heute.

The Zurich, Switzerland service in Vienna has arrived with a period of seven minutes, a spokesman for Australian Rail (OBB) told Australian Rail (OBB).

“It’s irresponsible, this kind of thing is usually found with someone who dies,” he said.

The man was arrested.

A similar incident occurred in January in Germany when a passenger – this time, a tariff dodger – surmounted outside a high -speed German train.

The man, a Hungarian national, told the police that he had left his luggage on the train during his cigarette break and did not want to part with it.
