A group of hidden thieves stole approximately $ 7,000 in Labubu dolls in a store in the Los Angeles region this week, authorities said.

The incident took place early Wednesday morning in a Puente store, a city at around 18 miles (29 kilometers) east of Los Angeles, said the Sheriff’s Department of Los Angeles. The department said that the suspects had used a stolen Toyota Tacoma in the incident, which was recovered shortly after. The agency said it was investigating the case and had no additional information.

The Labubu dolls, created by the original artist of Hong Kong Kasing Lung, became a popular collection element a decade after the introduction of monsters to the fullest.

The toy seller One Stop Shop declared in an Instagram post that the thieves had taken the whole inventory of the store and ransacked the establishment. The store has displayed surveillance images showing a group of people with hooded sweatshirts and interacting facial covers.

“We are still in shock,” said the store in his post, urging people to help find thieves.
