Miami Dolphins makes Zach Sieler the best paid defensive player with an extension of 67.5 million dollars

The Miami dolphins have given a three -year contract extension to the defensive platform Zach Sieler as they are targeting an increase in NFL this season.

The agreement is evaluated up to $ 67.75 million, including $ 44 million guaranteed, and marks a significant leap compared to its previous contract.

With an average annual value of $ 22.5 million, Sieler is now classified among the best employees in the League in his position and becomes the best paid defender in Miami.

Sieler initially signed an extension of $ 30 million over three years in 2023, but its continuous production – in particular consecutive seasons of 10 dishes – justified an updated offer.

Until now, he had only ranked 29th among the defensive plated of the NFL in terms of average annual salary, only slightly in front of the recruit of Browns Mason Graham.

Reflect on progress

Captain of the team respected, Sieler recognized the importance of obtaining a new contract, but admitted that staying present with his teammates was just as vital.

“Everyone is their own human. They can manage things as they wish,” said Sieler last month.

“This is how I choose to manage it, but I hope that the message that makes sure is that at the end of the day, we are here to play football.

“Now, obviously, this thing is very important to me – the respect and money my family gets and makes this game.

“We give everything on the line every day, and I will continue to do it every day.

“But to be able to go there and work anyway, I think I try to show that you can go there and play your best ball and always work without having to compartmentalize things.”

Head coach Mike McDaniel was full of praise for the 30-year-old player, stressing his consistency and dedication in the middle of contractual discussions.

“I think you define yourself by your actions, especially in life,” said McDaniel.

“I am very aware that all the players have the choice of what they do on a daily basis, in particular with Zach, and his actions speak – and I think his teammates recognize very well how Zach Sieler plays football and contributes to the building every day.

“And I think Zach has a vision of a team that I share and he understands as a leader, he tries to show guys how he wants the teammates to play football and I am excited every time I see Zach Sieler.”

From oppressed to cornerstone

Sieler’s journey towards the prominence of the NFL was anything but conventional. He entered the League as a choice of seventh round (238th in total) in 2018 by the Ravens of Baltimore.

Although renounced by the Ravens the following year, the Dolphins immediately claimed it – a decision that has since paid generously.

After displaying a modest nine bags during his first three seasons in Miami, Sieler broke out with 10 bags in 2023 and 2024, leading the team in each campaign.

His disturbing presence also did not go unnoticed through the league. Since the start of the 2023 season, only Justin Madobuike des Ravens has recorded more sure than Sieler 41.
