More than 100 non -profit groups warned Thursday that the rules of Israel for the help groups working in the Gaza Strip and occupied the West Bank or the West will block the needs and will replace independent organizations with those which serve the political and military agenda of Israel, accused that Israel denied.

At the same time, hospital officials reported more death by Israeli air strikes and an increasing number of malnutrition. The growing reaction on aid restrictions and the worsening of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza were cited by several countries as a factor in their movements towards the recognition of the Palestinian state.

The 108 non -profit groups, including Oxfam, doctors Without borders and care, responded to the registration rules announced by Israel in March which oblige organizations to put full lists of their donors and Palestinian personnel for checking.

They argue that this could endanger their staff and give Israel large fields to block the aid if the groups are deemed to be “delegitimizing” the country or supporting boycotts or disinvestment.

Help groups pointed out on Thursday that most of them were unable to provide “a single truck” to save their life since Israel has implemented a blockade in March, calling on the international community to press Israel to end the “armament of aid, including by bureaucratic obstruction”.

“Oxfam has more than $ 2.5 million (United States) of goods that have been rejected from the entry to Gaza by Israel, in particular washing and hygiene items as well as food,” said Bushra Khalidi, Policy Policy. “This recording process reports to NGOs that their ability to operate can be done at the expense of their independence and their ability to express themselves.”

The aid that groups provide assistance from United Nations supplements, Airdrops organized by foreign governments and Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, the Entrepreneur supported by the United States and the United States, which has been the main distributor of Gaza since May.

The aid levels remain lower than before

Despite these channels, the quantity of aid reaching Gaza remains well below the fact that the UN groups and the emergency groups previously delivered.

“At this stage, everyone knows what is the correct and human answer, and it is not a floating pier, air parachts or the” GHF “. The answer, to save lives, save humanity and save you from complicity in the famine of engineering mass, is to open all the borders, at every hour, to the thousands of trucks, to millions of meals and medical supplies, “Said Sean Carroll d’Anera.

The United Nations agencies and a small number of aid groups have resumed assistance, but say that the number of authorized trucks remains far from sufficient.

Warning: Video contains painful images | The American special envoy in the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, went to Gaza on Friday to inspect a controversial aid distribution site supported by the United States and Israel, after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday.

COGAT, the Israeli military organization responsible for humanitarian aid in Gaza, denied allegations in the NGO letter. He said 380 trucks entered Gaza on Wednesday. During the two-month ceasefire, the aid groups asked Israel to allow 600 trucks per day.

“The alleged delay in the assistant entry … only occurs when organizations choose not to meet the basic security requirements intended to prevent Hamas participation,” he said.

Israel has pressed UN agencies to accept military escorts to deliver goods to Gaza, a request that agencies have largely rejected, citing their commitment to neutrality.

The confrontation was the source of competing affirmations: Israel maintains that it helps to Gaza who adhere to its rules, while the aid groups that have long operated in Gaza denounce the amount of rescue supplies stuck in the border passages.

UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said that American special envoy Steve Witkoff had met UN humanitarian officials in New York about “quickly, the Gaza aid scale”.

The number of deaths rises from air strikes, malnutrition

The Gaza hospitals reported the victims of the Israeli strikes in Gaza City on Thursday, which Israel identified as a militant bastion last week when it announced its intention to launch a new offensive against Hamas.

An Israeli Gaza City strike killed a person and injured three others, said an official at the Al-Shifa hospital. A separate strike killed five people in Gaza City on Thursday morning, according to Al-Ahli Hospital, which made the victims.

The Israeli army did not immediately answer questions about strikes.

The victims are added to the tens of thousands of Palestinians who have been killed since the start of the war when activists led by Hamas took Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and removing 251 people.

At least 123 people were killed in 24 hours, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says people will have the opportunity to leave Gaza before a planned soil offensive, but no one is pushed back.

Israel’s reprisal campaign killed more than 61,700 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which does not specify how much combatants or civilians were, but says that around half were women and children. Most hostages have been published in ceasefire or in other offers, but 50 remain inside Gaza. Israel believes that about 20 of them are alive.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Health also reported four additional deaths related to malnutrition, bringing the total to 239, including 106 children.
