Nelly Explains What She Decided To Do At Donald Trump’s Inauguration

Initially, The Shade Room reported that Nelly was scheduled to perform at Donald Trump’s inaugural ball on Monday, Jan. 20. The story first became public when CBS reporter Taurean Smalls shared it. X (first Twitter) on Jan. 17.

Now, St. Louis emcee explains his decision to attend Donnie’s festival. Nelly joined the rapper Willie D in a discussion on YouTube, where he answered his choice – which caused many people to fall in love with each other.

In a video interview, Nelly revealed that she was not attending Trump’s inaugural ball to receive the money.

“I’m not doing this for money. I am doing this because it is (respect). I respect the office. It doesn’t matter who is in office. Likewise, our men and women, our brothers and sisters who protect this country must go to war and risk their lives for whoever is in office. So if they can risk their lives for anyone in office, I can do it with anyone in office,” said Nelly.

Willie D also revealed all the frustration Nelly has received since he was announced as part of the inaugural ball game. He also asked Nelly how he would respond to people who called him to support a white man. But the rapper directly said that he needs proof that Donald Trump is white. “If I ask them to show me where he is, he is a white man,” Nelly added.
