The newly appointed interim Prime Minister of Nepal says that she will be in the position for six months.

“I did not want this work. It was after the streets of the streets that I was forced to accept,” said Sushila Karkki, speaking for the first time since I was sworn in Friday. She said that she would recover to the new government that will emerge after the March 5 elections of next year.

His appointment comes after more than 70 people were killed in anti-corruption demonstrations that ousted the government of Nepal.

Karki took an oath automatically after an agreement with the protest leaders of the so-called “Gen Z” movement.

“We have to work according to the reflection of the Gen Z generation,” she said.

“What this group requires is the end of corruption, good governance and economic equality.”

Mass demonstrations, triggered by the ban on social media platforms, began on September 8 and, in two days, went down to chaos and violence during which the houses of politicians were vandalized and parliament was burned.

The number of troubles of trouble has now reached 72, including three police officers, according to officials.

“I am ashamed. If they were nepalis who destroyed these essential structures, how can they be called Nepalese,” the acting Prime Minister said on Sunday.

Karki, former chief judge of the Supreme Court, is widely considered to have a clean image.

But it was not free to controversy, after having faced an indictment incident during its mandate of almost 11 months as chief judge.

Now, Karki and his cabinet will face multiple challenges, in particular in restoration of the law and the order, the reconstruction of the Parliament and the other key buildings which have been attacked, in addition to reassuring the demonstrators of the Z generation who want change – and others in Nepal who are afraid of his young democracy and the constitutional order can be derailed.
