Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security review for the delay in receiving a list of hostages expected to be released on Sunday morning as part of a cease-fire agreement with Hamas.
Netanyahu told the Israel Defense Forces that the ceasefire will not begin until Israel has a list of hostages expected to be released. Since Hamas has not named the hostages, the IDF will continue to operate, as it is still inside Gaza.
The agreement was set to come into force on Sunday at 8:30 am local timeand Hamas said it would provide a list of those captured. But the ceasefire is on hold as Israel waits for a list of those captured to be released.
Hamas said the delay in naming was due to “technical reasons” and added that it was committed to the ceasefire agreement announced last week.
