Nick Bosa of 49ers to miss the rest of the 2025 season with torn ACL

The 49ers of San Francisco have a 3-0 sheet, but they continue to suffer from a terrible chance of injuries.
A day from a dramatic victory of 16-15 against the Cardinals of Arizona, the 49ers were struck by a major setback in the injuries with the news that Nick Bosa, who left the match in the first half, had undergone an ACL torn by the end of the season.
The 49ers hope that Bosa had avoided any damage to the ACL after the initial checks on the sidelines of their first home game at the Levi’s stadium. However, MRI scans revealed a clean tear on Monday which will require surgery, according to an Adam Schefter report.
He marked the second time in Bosa’s career that he suffered a torn LCA, which also did it during week 2 of the 2020 season.
His loss is a blow for a defensive line that produced a considerably improved game for three weeks after the unusual struggles in advance last season.
Robert Saleh’s return for a second spell in charge as a defensive coordinator had an extremely positive impact, with the choice of recruit in the first round Mykel Williams among those who impress. Bryce Huff, acquired for a conditional choice of fifth round in a business with the Eagles of Philadelphia in June, already has two bags in its name.
A large part of San Francisco hopes on the defense were linked to the possibility of putting Bosa and Huff at the same time on the ground. Now, with the 49ers deprived of half a duo who seemed potentially devastating through two games, Huff will have to take more burden.
Bosa, the defensive player of the year in 2022, sees his end of the season after having recorded two bags and four plated for the defeat while forcing two escaped, one who won the victory of the week 1 of San Francisco against the Seattle Seahawks.
The long -term saving grace for the 49ers is that Bosa rebounded by its injury in 2020 by displaying two -digit bags during each of the following three seasons, including 18.5 in its defensive player campaign of the year. However, this is likely to be a cold comfort for the moment while the Niners head for their clash of week 4 with the Jacksonville jaguars without one of the first defenders of the game.
