Once again, Rotten Tomatoes has misled me and left me with Nicolas Cage Season of the Witch – a dark, magical fantasy film set during the Smyrniote religious wars – and it took away from me one of the best movies of our actors during the most of the movie. Although this film is not Cage’s best moment (still waiting National Treasure 3 of here), it is not worth getting the 11 percent that is so difficult that it has in the popular group.
My personality has also soared to the point of no return after watching it Season of the Witch because my theory has been proven right once again: if you watch horror movies (which I suspect), sometimes you strike gold as a thriller with breath-taking action, action sequences, and fast-paced dialogue.
Desire Season of the Witch remembered as one of the greatest films of our time? Of course not. But it’s one of those movies that gets rained out on Sunday afternoons streaming which is definitely worth 95 minutes of your time.
The Best Time

Season of the Witch is taken by Sir Behmen von Bleibruck (Nicolas Cage) and Sir Felson (Ron Perlman), two warlords who have seen their share of murder during their reign in the Smurniote Crusades of the 14th century. innocent women and children), Behmen and Felson decided to quit their jobs and get away from the violence that had dominated most of their adult lives. Behmen and Felson eventually emerge as fugitives while traveling in plague-ridden Styria, and an ailing Cardinal D’ambroise (Christopher Lee) tasks them with transporting a witch named Anna (Claire Foy) to a monastery. a distant monastery to be judged fairly.
Refusing the job means imprisonment and eventually death by hanging or burning (Felson would prefer to be hanged quickly if given the chance to choose how to die), but the two groups will receive full pardon if they agree to go through the dark forest and make it. good for giving.
Joined by Priest Debelzaq (Stephen Campbell Moore), Cardinal Johann (Ulrich Thomsen), a cartographer and thief named Hagamar (Stephen Graham), and a young man with military ambitions named Kay von Wollenbart (Robert Sheehan), Behmen. and Felson set out to search the monastery. Cardinal D’ambroise thinks that Anna is responsible for the spread of the Black Death in Europe Season of the Witchand they have reason to believe that the monastery holds the secret to ending the plague.
Buddy Cop Banter For Days

Having an identifiable problem, Season of the Witch it plays more like a police officer movie than a fantasy movie. Behmen and Felson aren’t as reluctant as you’d imagine, but they seem to be having the time of their lives as they travel through the treacherous desert and carry Anna off to be seduced and killed. Being war buddies during the big battles found in the film’s front line, they were all so upset by the violence that they joked around like old college buddies on a stag night.
Although they take their work seriously, they whistle as they work to solve the problem, making the film a bit more interesting than I expected.
Season of the Witch it sets up this dynamic between Behmen and Felson at the beginning of the first battle, which reminds me of the battle that can be found in the directors Wolfgang Petersen and Brad Pitt. Troy. Before descending the mountains to put hundreds of men to the sword, Behmen and Felson began arguing over who would be the hero of the day, and who would buy beer and mead after a well-fought battle. Controversy is a troubling issue that can be found in the heart of Season of the WitchI appreciate that his sense of humor breaks the tension when things get rough.
Don’t let the naysayers fool you

At the end of the day, all I want from a social media experience is quality to be entertainedand Season of the Witch it checks all the boxes on my Bingo cards to “put them in my eyes”. Between the epic battles, the magical wolves roaming the dark forest, and the timeless chemistry between Cage and Perlman, you’d be hard-pressed to find a film about a dark plague that’s as entertaining as this one.
If you don’t believe me, consider this:
The 1980s Xanadu he currently has a very difficult 31 percent Rotten Tomatoeswhich is much higher than Season of the Witch. At least this last chapter has some form of plot, and there isn’t a single example of music and dancing instead of telling a story. sure, Season of the Witch it has a disappointing lack of Kublai Khan’s funky dome, but I’m willing to stick my neck out and say this is better.
