Openai obtains a conspiracy brain, pursues non -profit organizations

Sam Altman and Elon Musk were locked in an ongoing confrontation on the fact that Optai worked as a profit company despite its non -profit status. The struggle, which has been underway before the public opinion court for years and in real courts for months, is starting to accumulate collateral damage. According to a report by the San Francisco standard, Openai criticisms began to receive assignments from the IA company on what the leadership of the company seems to believe to be a plot supported by Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
There is no doubt that a lot of money is thrown into AI’s space. But Openai apparently thinks that it is ultimately its own success. According to the standard, Openai has asked for documents from non -profit organizations and researchers, demanding that they put documents related to musk and meta. In the case of a Nathan Calvin, the Advocate General of a non -profit organization of the governance of AI called Encode, these documents do not exist, according to the standard.
Calvin is not the only one to obtain the request to submit documents either. The report indicates that at least two other AI governance groups have received similar requests. And it seems that the apparent paranoia at Openai has spread beyond the pages of the assignments. Apparently, during a call with non -profit groups that opposed the company’s attempts to restructure and lose its non -profit status, an Openai representative suggested that the groups were “financed by our competitors” and asked to “reveal themselves”.
Some targets of Openai seem to be the kind of people who would only suspect suspicion if you follow a red rope on a cork panel. For example, according to the standard, the company has assigned the founder of the Future of Life Institute, a non -profit organization which focuses on the use of AI in the criminal justice system and was launched by a high school student. They also sent requests to Jeffrey Gardner, an LSAT instructor who lives in New York, who lives in a house belonging to a company called Tesla Place, LLC. OPENAI called it an “accessory” used to “hide the true identity” of one of its opponents. Gardner told Standard that the company is named after the street he lived and had no connection with Elon Musk.
Openai seems sure that the world came out to get it. And it can be just to some extent. But it is a bit difficult to try to claim the history of the oppressed when you are estimated at $ 500 billion. Is it possible that the worst people in technology weigh non-profit organizations to criticize OpenAI? Of course. But a lot of people take free shots on Sam Altman’s baby.
Anyway, it is clear that Altman and Musk are not really worried to burn or at least to denounce people along the way while they adjusted their quarrel. Last week, Musk’s company XAI continued a former engineer who jumped the ship to Openai, claiming to have taken secrets from the company with them. Everything to be won, it doesn’t matter who is caught in the cross fires.
