OPENAI has just concluded an agreement to give each federal branch agency of the Federal Branch Agency for Chatgpt Enterprise in the next year for only $ 1.

In a blog article, Openai said that the agreement was aimed at advancing a key pillar of the AI action plan for the Trump administration by making the advanced AI tools widely available through the federal government to reduce paperwork and bureaucracy. The White House unveiled the plan in July, describing efforts to accelerate the adoption of AI, extend the infrastructure of the data center and promote American AI abroad.

“One of the best ways to ensure that AI is working for everyone is to put it in the hands of people who serve our country,” said Sam Altman, CEO of Openai, in a press release. “We are proud to associate ourselves with the General Services Administration (GSA), delivering the Action Plan of the AI of President Trump, to make the Chatppt available through the federal government, helping civil servants to deliver to the American people.”

At the same time, the agreement could also give OPENAI an advantage over its rivals by encouraging government agencies to choose its models compared to those competing. Tuesday, GSA added Chatgpt, Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude to a government purchasing system, which facilitates the purchase and use of these models.

In addition to the steep reduction, the partnership gives government agencies access to tools and training to help them learn to use the Chatppt. Openai has already created a community of users dedicated to government employees and offers tailor -made introductory workshops through its Openai academy.

OPENAI has also assured that government data, including inputs and outputs, will not be used to train or improve its models.

The company has boasted that in a recent pilot program, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania used using Catgpt saved on average about 95 minutes a day on routine tasks.

In January, Openai launched Chatgpt Gov, a tailor -made version of Chatgpt designed for government employees. At the time, Openai said that more than 90,000 users in more than 3,500 federal, state and local government agencies had sent more than 18 million messages to Chatgpt. The company underlined how certain agencies have already used Chatgpt, in particular the Air Force research laboratory, which uses it for administrative tasks, and Los Alamos National Laboratory for Scientific Research.

This decision also comes while the CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, has increasingly concluded the Trump administration. Since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, Altman has joined Trump for a press conference and had a long one-on-one meeting in June. During a dinner at the New Jersey Golf Club of Trump this month, Trump called Altman “a very brilliant man”.
