A family lost their family the entire plumbing businessand the people of the community he served, from the wildfires of California.

Palisades Plumbing’s home, cars, and many of its customers’ homes are gone, but the owners haven’t given up hope of continuing. They are pleading to inform the surrounding areas that they are ready to work.

“We’re just looking for work,” Palisades Plumbing owner Mandy Church told FOX Business. “My boys deserve to be paid. You know? We need to survive.”

Mandy Church and her husband, Ray Church, fought hard to make ends meet after immigrating to the United States in 1985. They struggled with discrimination when Ray Church tried to get a job as a bomb repairman. Finally, he found a job at Palisades Plumbing, a company he took over in 2007.

It was a family run business that quickly became their second home. Ghey doesn’t want to lose without a fight.

“I want exposure. I want people to know we’re here, and we need help,” said Mandy Church.

On Wednesday morning, Ray Church, his daughter Shavahn Ahmadi, and Shavahn’s husband Obai Ahmadi, who also worked there, were the first to see the devastation left by the Palisades Fire.

“We were hopeful that the business would still be there… when we started walking and saw cars being burnt. We were disappointed,” said Shavahn Ahmadi.

Shavahn Ahmadi explained that it was not the only place where she and her husband worked. That’s where their children grew up.

“We really made our office like a house. I had little kids in there. I had mats in there for the kids to sleep on the big chairs, toys, anything you can think of for a kid to be in an office.”

Mandy Church and Shavahn Ahmadi aren’t just worried about their income. Their four hard-working employees also have high standards.

“They have kids and families to take care of, and we took care of them. We worked together as a family,” Mandy Church said. “I’ve been here with them crying. I’m in pain.”

He thought he could continue to pay them for a month before the money ran out.

Mandy Church is particularly worried about some of her older workers, saying that if they are forced to start over, “the new bomb company will send them anywhere. They will work 12 hours a day. My boys work from 8 to 4.”

Before the fire destroyed their home, Mandy Church explained that she mostly served clients in the Palisades, although she did reach out to other areas such as Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Malibu.

They are now looking to expand to Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Encino, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Culver City, Santa Monica, Malibu, Westwood, Brentwood, the entire San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita and Thousand Oaks.

They also plan to serve the Palisades when it reopens.
