Rashford joined Barcelona “to be happy”

Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona by need to be happy to play his best football, said Manchester United striker.
Rashford made his official debut for Barça on Saturday, as a second half substitute in a 3-0 victory in Mallorca, after his move from Old Trafford last month.
The English international fell in disgrace with the boss of United Ruben Amorim last season and spent the second half of this campaign on loan to Aston Villa, rediscovering a certain form when he scored four goals and provided five assists in all competitions.
Rashford seemed invigorated during his stay at Villa Park, and a desire to be able to play with Joy fueled his desire to join the Champions of Laliga.
Explaining his decision to leave United, Rashford told Sport: “I need to be happy to play my best football. For me personally, football is my life. You know? It’s my life since I was very, very young.
“In fact, I don’t know anything else. So, the link I have, not only with my career, but with sport in general, is huge and I do not expect it to disappear. But yes, it’s always good to be happy when you play football. This is the reason why I started there.
“You never know with certainty, but from the start, I felt comfortable (at Barça). On the field, I will of course learn more in every match. But the starting point is very good.
“The more matches there are, the more I will learn. Barça is the easiest place to appreciate and learn football.”
Rashford learns the language in an attempt to facilitate its transition, and he revealed that his new teammates had already decided a curious nickname.
“When they have fun with each other, they call me” my darling “,” he added. “I don’t know what it means, but it’s funny when they talk to you like that
“They know that I try to learn Spanish. I think it is important for me to learn as soon as possible. It’s stimulating. You always learn and that’s good.
“Catalan is difficult. I suppose that while I am here, I will learn a little and I hope it will help me to better understand the Catalan culture, which I also want to do. “
