Report a blunt indictment of the actions of Israel in Gaza

The report is intended to be detailed and overwhelming, presenting evidence which, according to them, shows that Israel commits a genocide in Gaza. He indicates that Israel violated the genocide convention which was adopted in 1948 by the newly established United Nations. The word genocide and the convention which defined it as a crime, were directly inspired by the genocide of six million Jews by Nazi Germany.
Israel denies all the allegations that his conduct in Gaza has broken the treaties and conventions that make up the laws of war and international humanitarian law. He justifies his actions as a self -defense, in the protection of his citizens and to force the liberation of the hostages taken by Hamas and the Islamic jihad on October 7, 2023, of which around twenty are supposed to be still alive.
The Israelis have rejected the report as anti -Semitic lies inspired by Hamas. He was compiled by a commission of inquiry led by the United Nations Human Rights Council. Israel and the United States boycotted the Council, which, according to the two countries, is in favor of them.
But the conclusions of the report will feed the growing international condemnation of the conduct of Israel, which also comes from the traditional Western allies of Israel as well as the Arab Gulf monarchies which normalized relations with Israel in the Abraham agreements.

Next week in the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Canada and others, have to join the majority of UN members by recognizing the sovereignty of an independent Palestinian State.
This decision will be more than symbolic. This will change the debate on the future of the conflict that started over a century ago when European Jews from Europe came to settle in Palestine. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, condemned recognition as anti -Semitic and a reward for Hamas terrorism.
He says that the Palestinians will never have independence in any part of the field between the Jordan river and the Mediterranean Sea, because a Palestinian state would put the Israelis in danger. Israeli religious nationalists believe that the earth has been granted to the Jewish people alone by God.
The genocide is defined in the 1948 Convention, as the intention of destroying, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group – in this case, the Palestinians in Gaza.

The report details actions against the Palestinians inside Gaza and in prison inside Israel.
Among a long list of accusations, there is the Israeli targeting of civilians that it has a legal obligation to protect and the imposition of “inhuman conditions causing the death of the Palestinians, including the deprivation of food, water and drugs”. It is a reference to the blocking that produced a famine as well as a widespread famine, according to the IPC, the international organization which assesses food emergencies.
The new United Nations report also details forced displacement, which is currently performing in Gaza City after the Israeli army, the FDI, ordered all civilians to move south. About a million people are affected. Israel’s offensive collects the pace, with air strikes and the destruction of many buildings, including increases which are symbols of Gaza City, which the IDF calls Hamas “Terror Towers”.
The report also indicates that Israel has imposed “measures intended to prevent births”. This refers to an attack on the largest Gaza fertility clinic, which would have destroyed around 4,000 embryos and 1000 sperm samples and non -fertilized eggs.
In addition to the results of military action, the United Nations report distinguishes three Israeli officials for incentive to the genocide.

They are Yoav Gallant, then the Minister of Defense, who declared on October 9, 2023 that Israel was fighting “human animals”. Like Prime Minister Netanyahu, Gallant already faces an arrest warrant against war crimes from the International Criminal Court.
Netanyahu is also accused of incitement by comparing the Gaza war in the history of the Jewish struggle against an enemy known as Amalek. In the Bible, God tells the Jewish people to eliminate all the men, women and children of Amalek, as well as their property and their animals.
The third civil servant was opposed to President Isaac Herzog, who, during the first week of the war, condemned the Palestinians of Gaza for not having raised Hamas. He said on October 13, 2023 that “it is an entire nation that is responsible”.
Legally, it is difficult to prove the crime of genocide. People who have supervised the genocide agreement and the interpretations carried out by the CIJ in more recent cases have deliberately established a high legal bar.
At the International Court of Justice of The Hague, South Africa presented a case that Israel committed a genocide against the Palestinians. It will take several years for the case to be tried.
But with the war in Gaza continues and perhaps climbing with the current Israeli offensive, the United Nations report will deepen the international divisions concerning the war.
On the one hand, countries that require an immediate end to murder and destruction in Gaza, and condemn the famine caused by the siege of Israel. They include the United Kingdom and France.
On the other, Israel and the United States. President Donald Trump’s administration continues to provide vital military aid and diplomatic coverage without which the Israelis would find it difficult to continue the war in Gaza and its bombing campaigns elsewhere in the Middle East.
