Spain had a flawless start for qualifying in the World Cup with a 3-0 commanding victory over Bulgaria at the Stadion Vasil Levski, a result that puts the lateral side of Luis de la Fuente du Group E.

The three goals came to a devastating screen in the first half that let the hosts hunt the shadows and the score could have easily been heavier.

It took the Roja only five minutes to find the breakthrough. Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimenddi put on a bullet through the Mikel Oyarzabal path, who slipped Dimitar Vutsov’s passer-by to do it 1-0.

Spain has doubled their advance on the brand of half an hour through an improbable source. A Cross of Yamal was half manual and fell gently for Marc Cucurella, who unleashed a thunderous journey from the inside of the box which entered the upper corner.

Seven minutes later, Spain wrapped the points. Lamine Yamal, the 18-year-old Barcelona winger who was a threat everywhere, swung in a corner that Mikel Merino increased the highest to meet, guiding a head beyond Visteov for 3-0.

Bulgaria briefly threatened by Radoslav Kirilov, who hit the post half-time half-time after turning abruptly inside the Spanish defense. But Ilian Iliev’s team has rarely seen the ball and ended the match with only 22% possession and a total of expected goals of 0.10 – a contrast that struck with the 24 Spanish attempts, 78% possession and XG of 3.33.

The second half followed the same scheme, although the finish touch of Spain deserted them. Yamal came closest, denied for the first time by Vutsov after having capitalized on a defensive error, then later given another tamed effort repelled by the Bulgarian goalkeeper.

Merino has also forced a superb backup, his powerful strike went around the bar in the bar in what turned out to be the release of Bulgaria.

Luis de la Fuente used the comfortable cushion to run its side, presenting Dani Olmo, Rodri and Dani Carvajal among others.

Olmo thought he was fortunate to add a fourth late, but was interrupted by the referee’s whistle after minimal contact on the cranev inside the box.

At the other end, the promising race of the replacement of Vladimir Nikolov was interrupted by the out-of-game flag, the frustration of Bulgaria sums up by their inability to gather a shot on the target.
