Robinhood is launching professional and college football prediction markets on its application -

Robinhood announced this week (August 19) announced the launch of the professional football prediction markets and college via the application.

Customers will now be able to exchange the results of the most popular professional and collegial football matches, including all the professional games of the regular season, and all the schools and independents of the Power 4 college.

“Football is by far the most popular sport in America,” said JB Mackenzie, vice-president of future and international in Robinhood.

“The addition of professional and collegial football to our prediction market hub is obvious for us because we aim to make Robinhood’s dress a one -stop shop for all your investment and trading needs.”

These new markets have started to be deployed and will be available for all eligible customers in the coming days.

During the launch, the company includes contracts for the first two weeks of professional and college seasons. From there, he aims to add weekly matches as the season progresses. For example, the third week games will be added after the end of the week.

The company already offers contracts through crypto, economy, finance, sports, culture, etc. According to a press release, the objective is “to allow anyone who, anywhere, to negotiate, invest or have any financial actors and carry out financial transactions via Robinhood”.

This new introduction comes just a few weeks after Robinhood reported the second quarter of 2025. The total net income increased by 45% from one year to the next to 989 million dollars.

Net profit increased by 105% in annual sliding to 386 million dollars, funded customers having increased by 2.3 million, or 10%, in annual shift to 26.5 million.
