Ryan Garcia Vs Isaac Cruz & Devin Haney Vs Jose Ramirez: Second PPV Show In May!

Ryan Garcia vs. Isaac Cruz and Devin Haney vs. Jose Ramirez will be fighting a doubleheader on DAZN PPV in May in Times Square, New York. This will be one of Turki Al-Sheikh’s biggest cards and will set the table for the rematch in October between Ryan and Haney in Riyadh.

Doubleheader in May

Kingry (24-1, 20 KOs) has an easy fight going against former WBA light welterweight champion ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (26-3-1, 18 KOs). While it’s not an easy fight for Ryan, it’s more dangerous than the one Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) faces, taking on the former WBC and WBO 140-lb champion. Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs).

Devin is taking on the 2012 Olympian, Ramirez, 32, and there is a good chance he can beat this guy because he can punch and has technical skills. However, Turki probably doesn’t care if Haney gets it because he has a different opinion about losing fighters. Fans will still want to see Garcia-Haney back in October, regardless of what happens to Haney against Ramirez.

“Sources have revealed plans for May in TIMES SQUARE 🗽🍎 and outside, including Ryan Garcia-Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, Devin Haney-Jose Ramirez, as part of the launch of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves from SNK and Ring. Magazine # ESPNKnockOut,” said Salvador Rodriguez X.

Fan activity on social media has been mixed with the two fights. Many would prefer to see Ryan fight Haney right away instead of starting the song. But for Haney, he needs to re-establish his credibility by beating the biggest hitter at 140 because he was so scared by Ryan.

It is one side of the fight; there is no reason to return anything other than for business purposes. If Haney can prove himself against Jose Ramirez, he will show boxing fans that Garcia has not damaged his chin, and is worthy of a comeback.

I don’t see Haney winning this fight against Ramirez because this guy is not Regis Prograis. He’s definitely got talent and he’ll be under the gun from the get-go, following his Swiss cheese chin, looking to finish what Ryan started.

If Turki is still good enough to make the Haney-Garcia fight with Devin ended by Ramirez, that’s fine. Fans still want to see the rematch for the fun, but the less fun would be Ryan’s favorite.
