The second week of the NFL 2025 pre-season begins this evening with two games on the file. First of all, the Falcons of Atlanta will welcome the Titans of Tennessee. Later, the chiefs will face the Seahawks.

Each NFL team will be in action in the coming days while franchises continue to make list cuts, find diamonds in the rudes and prepare their entries for the week of the regular season.

With an average of four games a day from Friday to Monday, identify the key elements to be sought in the second week of the pre-season.

What QB Browns will see the field?

If you have followed our series of news from the training camp, you know that the Browns deal with injuries to several quarters, including their two recruits. Kenny Pickett and the choice of third round Dillon Gabriel are still trying to fight against injuries to the hamstrings. Meanwhile, the fifth round Sheder Sanders was labeled “unlikely” this weekend due to an oblique problem. There is also Joe Flacco, who has already been excluded from the Saturday match by head coach Kevin Stefanski.

When writing these lines, there is only one quarter-Arrière entirely in good health on the list of Browns: Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, who signed with the team only ten days ago. Since the quarter-rear rarely play the entire pre-season match, it will be interesting to see if someone is considered good health to take pictures under the center.

Maybe Dillon Gabriel finally turned a corner with his hamstiff injury and will be allowed to play tomorrow. Only time will tell us, but the quarter of Cleveland is like a car accident too interesting to look away. If there was a pre-season match to connect, it would be Browns vs Eagles.

Can Ashton Jeanty bounce back?

With Pete Carroll confirming that “Everybody’s Live” in the pre-season match of Las Vegas Raiders against the 49ers of San Francisco, this will give viewers another chance to look at the Ballon Ashton Jeanty. Not only was he taken with the sixth choice in the general classification of NFL 2025, but he also finished last year with the second most precipitated yards in a single season (2,601), falling only 28 yards from the college record of Barry Sanders.

Unfortunately for Jeanty and the faithful of the Raiders, he did not look like the elite ball carrier that he was last year in the first pre-season match of the raiders. The 2024 unanimous All -American was held at -1 yards on the ground in three races after being targeted once in the pass match.

Although it is the pre-season, and it is not important to get behind your recruit until the wheels fall during these four weeks, the raiders should always try to establish a pace with Jeanty and strengthen his confidence. This child is able to rush for more than 200 yards in a game, but the only way he reaches this step is by practice and repetition. They shouldn’t play Jeanty all the match, but the raiders have to make him the ball more than three times. If they do not do so, then his confidence will be destroyed before playing one in significant football.

Our first overview of Caleb Williams in Ben Johnson’s offensive

Caleb Williams is one of the most interesting scenarios in the second week is Caleb Williams and his learning process for head coach Ben Johnson. There have been several points in the training camp where Williams looks lost or frustrated in the new Bears offense. However, these concerns can be put in bed on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

It is not known how much Williams will play this weekend, but we know that he will get at least a few clichés, as Ben Johnson confirmed on Wednesday. In all likelihood, Williams will probably only play the first two possessions. After all, they will not risk injuring their right-of-the-art quarter to establish a little pace in a pre-season match.

If Williams can finish all his passes and maybe even launch a touchdown, it would be great. But if he doesn’t do that, it’s not the end of the world. As long as it can connect to at least half of its passes and avoid any turnaround, the beginnings of pre-season of Caleb Williams in 2025 will be considered a success.

The game to determine the second best team in New York

The Buffalo Bills are so clearly the best football team in New York that it is not even funny. Only last season, Buffalo won five more victories than the jets and the giants combined! While the Bills will reign again as a master as a kings of New York, the jets and the giants will manage on Saturday to determine who is the second best team in the state.

Last season, the jets were able to push the giants and defeat Big Blue 10-6 in a match that saw 11 combined bags. This time, however, the teams will be very different with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, probably starting from the opposite side.

As is the case with most pre-season matches, there is not much at stake here. However, fans of jets and giants can use this contest to determine who obtains brassing rights on the other basis of fans until the first week. When you are a fan of jets or giants, that is essentially everything you have to hope for before your dreams are inevitably crushed by the harsh reality which is the regular season.

Can commanders bounce back from their horrible exit from the first week?

Washington commanders seemed completely overwhelmed during their pre-season debut against the New England Patriots on August 8. The offensive overturned the ball twice, was held at 18 points and only converted five of his 13 third advance attempts. The defense allowed the Pats to go five for six in the red zone on the path of a 48 -point bombardment. And to top it all, the commanders were penalized 13 times on 98 yards.

Even if it was only the first game of the pre-season, it did not look like a team that was a victory for the Super Bowl. As good as Jayden Daniels, he cannot prevent the defense from granting five red zone scores or preventing the team in its whole from filling 13 penalties. Commanders have a chance to postpone the ship and get back on the right track against a team of Bengals which is without its best defensive player, Trey Hendrickson.

There is a good chance that the Washington offensive will be better this week than last week. However, the defense will have to raise its game, especially with Joe Burrow and Ja’mar Chase probably playing for the first records for Bengals.

Backing bats

Many NFL teams know exactly who is their franchise quarter and who will be their starter when the first week will take place. It also means that there are many quarter-backing jobs open through the league for which players will participate in this weekend.

Russell Wilson will probably be the starter of the week one of the giants, but will his backup be the recruit Jaxson Dart or a veteran established in Jameis Winston? The work of Kirk Cousins as a safeguard of Michael Penix Jr. is it safe, or should he care about Easton Stick, who went 15 for 18 with 149 yards by the pass and a touchdown last week? Sam Howell or Brett Rypsi will emerge as the replacement at Minnesota who will guide JJ McCarthy as he sails in his first season as a starter? Will Stetson Bennett be the safeguard of Matthew Stafford this season, or will this role be fulfilled again by Jimmy Groppolo?

Of the 32 teams playing this weekend, 17 of them have several guys who become their QB2. So, if you are a fan of titans, falteries, loaders, seahawks, giants, rams, buccaneers, cowboys, steelers, vikings, cardinals, dolphins, broncos, lions, bears, eagles or bengals, you have something to watch this weekend.
