10. “What?”

Part of the magic of Jaws For many support roles, Steven Spielberg threw real people who lived on Martha’s Vineyard, where he was filmed. This gives the film a real and authentic quality, but few characters are distinguished more than the guy who reacts in the most perfect way of all time when Hooper tells him that the shark caught very early is a tiger shark. “What?” He said in a perfect sled in New England. This is one of those moments that could spend you during a first or second overview. But by your 100th viewing, it is an absolute and hilarious perfection. Jaws is filled with these moments, so we decided to choose it to represent them all.

9. The cage

When Brody and Hooper arrive on Quint’s boat, there is a brief exchange on the cage that Hooper brings. Then, a ton of things happens, and you almost forget it. And yet, this information persists, which makes the moment when Hooper enters the cage even more terrifying. That he meets not only the shark, but that he is really spoiled, then takes a few notches.

8. “You will need a larger boat.”

Throughout JawsThe film reaches various climbing points. Scenes or lines where characters learn, often in a violent way, that things are much worse than they thought at the origin. The most famous and most fun of these is when the Sheriff Brody throws in a casual manner into the water and is greeted by a much larger shark than he had imagined in his head. His resulting message to Quint has become the most cited line in the film, and hearing it, you can’t help but smile.

7. OrcaThe trip begins

Jaws is almost two films. There is the first half where everything is installed, then the second half aboard the boat. Everyone is incredible in its own right, and the transition between them is incredibly special. Like the Orca Leaves the quay to head towards the sea, the camera films it from the Quint hut and through a set of shark jaws. This is the way of Spielberg to install everything to come. They enter the belly of the beast, and it may not be fine. (Oh, and the amount and adventurous score John Williams does not hurt either.)

6. Mimitism of the dining room

A crucial line in Jaws is that sheriff Brody is afraid of water. So what makes him face this fear and to leave Orca? Well, we know because of this little and beautiful little scene, like her youngest son, Sean, begins to imitate his father at random. Brody plays along, and we see exactly why he would risk everything, without anyone saying a word.

5. The slap

One of the many things that do Jaws This is good that it is what is going on. Example, before you even reach all the cool shark stuff, we are forced to fight against our main character, sheriff Brody, bow to political pressures and open beaches that he knows that he should not have. Of course, this is not going well, and when the mother of the late Alex Kintner slaps the disgust, you can feel her pain and her regret in each frame.

4. “Smile, you son of a …”

Here is what extent Jaws East. We classify the biggest, most exciting and exciting moment in the film fourth On this list. It is undeniable that Brody realizes how he can kill the shark, the assembly of it and the tension come together to give us the perfect end to such an exciting adventure. And yet, as unforgettable as this moment is, we believe that there are some that are better.

3. Introduction of Quint

Clearly, Jaws is filled with emblematic moments featuring everyone’s favorite shark hunter. But the second best (spoiler alert) is its introduction. Nails on the board. A piece is silent. Bourrue confidence then clearly explains how it will solve the problem of sharks at a price. You instantly understand this type and you want to know more about it. An introduction of all time for a character.

2. The split diopter stroke

Undoubtedly, Jaws“ The most famous is the inspired moment of Alfred Hitchcock where the Sheriff Brody realizes that the opening of the beaches was a terrible error. To transmit it, Spielberg strikes us with the divided dioptrie, bringing the center closer to its image and pushing the background further. It perfectly transmits the dread of awareness that someone is about to die and that Brody is partly at fault.

1. Indianapolis Speech

Come on. Could it be something other than that? This painful revelation of the origin of the intense hatred of quint of sharks is filled with terror, sadness and despair. Shaw gives an incredible performance, and we, like Hooper and Brody, cannot leave it. The fact that he arrives on the comparison of the joy of joy makes him even more powerful and unforgettable.

So what did we miss? Is it the opening death? All the scenes with the mayor? Hooper’s faces? The eyeball? Let us know below but please be nice. Amity, as you know, means friendship.
