The Ai Larry Ellison tycoon once said that “citizens will be on their best behavior” in the midst of recording without stopping

A year ago, the co -founder of Oracle and President Larry Ellison described a future where everyone, including the police, will face regular surveillance because daily life is apparently documented.
During the meeting of Oracle financial analysts last September, he predicted that artificial intelligence will help treat the large quantities of sequences recorded by cameras placed on everything, car dashboards and entrance doors to safety systems and cops.
“We are going to have supervision,” said Ellison. “Each policeman will be supervised at any time, and if there is a problem, the AI will report this problem and report it to the appropriate person. Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and signals everything that is happening.”
These comments have acquired a new relevance now that his business has become a major player in the AI industry and is about to play an essential role in the Tiktok American Operations Agreement. Tiktok’s video sharing platform is among the most popular social media properties in the country.
Oracle did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
The company was an IA infrastructure provider and amazed Wall Street earlier this month by reaching an agreement of $ 300 billion with Openai, which will buy calculation power over about five years in one of the largest cloud contracts ever signed.
During its last quarterly call on analysts, the management also proposed income projections which cited $ 455 billion in contracts, up 359% compared to the previous year. CEO Safra Catz revealed that Oracle had won agreements with three different customers during the quarter.
Meanwhile, Oracle is expected to be among the companies that will buy American companies from Tiktok from the Chinese parent company bytedance. In addition, will Oracle go for American surveillance of algorithm and security.
President Donald Trump signed an executive decree on Thursday afternoon, opening the way to an agreement to put Tiktok in American hands. The structure of American property is still being finalized, but Trump said that Oracle and Ellison would play a “big” role in the management of the application, while the Rupert Murdoch conservative media magnate and the computer billionaire Michael Dell sit on the board. Trump suggested that three other “blue” donors were also part of the property group.
Vice-president JD Vance said that the algorithm will be “under the control of American investors”, adding that more details would be to come.
The reports earlier this week said that Oracle would recreate Tiktok algorithm and provide a new American version while guaranteeing user data security.
“This agreement will allow the United States to control the algorithm of the application,” said Vance. “It will be exploited by the United States all along.”
