The Bizarro-Trump Shatick of Gavin Newsom becomes even stranger with a same

Gavin Newsom, the California Democratic Governor, has spent the last weeks imitating Donald Trump’s style. The Newsom team fills its social networks with rooms from all captains and vanoureous statements that resemble the president, even deploying goods like red hats that say “Newsom was right on everything”.

The strategy has been polarizing, at the very least, some people adopting Newsom’s approach as a funny tank against Trump, while others say that it is unnecessary distraction that does nothing while confusing low -information voters who do not understand that he satiate the president.

But Newsom’s latest idea could be the most confusing to date. The governor says he will launch a same to compete with Trump’s cryptocurrency $ Trump. Newsom announced the play on the pivot of the Kara Swisher podcast, although we do not yet have many details. Pivot published a clip by the governor speaking of his plan, but the full episode will not be released before Friday.

“We are about to release a same. And you know what? Donald Trump, we’ll see how your room behaves in relation to our room,” said Newsom.

Swisher asked if it was going to be called something like Gavincoin. The governor explained that he would be called Trump’s corruption play, which seems to break with the spirit of dragging Trump by publishing a narcissistic brand element.

The entire SCUTK in which Newsom and his team have committed themselves imply that the governor was the center of attention, it is therefore strange to break this mold while imitating the cryptographic part. It is not yet clear either where people can buy the medal or where any product can go.

Trump and his family made billions from their crypto efforts, according to CBS News, despite the fact that $ Trump and $ Melania have lost most of their value since their launch. Trump announced for the first time $ Trump shortly before he was inaugurated in January, making one of the most corrupted movements that a president has ever tried.

Presidents are not supposed to benefit financially from their role as head of the country. But he does not only in crypto, but through his other companies like Trump Media and his clubs around the world.

Newsom recently attempted to position himself as a Trump adversary, despite the months of time to become comfortable with some of Trump’s most fascist allies. Newsom launched his own podcast after the 2024 elections and carried out very friendly interviews with people like Dr. Phil, Michael Savage and Charlie Kirk.

Newsom also interviewed Steve Bannon less than a month after Bannon made a Nazi salute at the CPAC.

Newsom’s interview was managing and treated Bannon as someone who deserved respect rather than the dangerous far -right influencer he is.

The Governor of California also worked in his generally centrist ways while his time in this role is coming to an end. Newsom is limited to terms and cannot run again in 2026, but clearly made a game for the presidency in 2028 and wants to show that it is hard for the crime.

The Governor’s office published a press release on the new “crime suppression teams” formed by California Highway Patrol on Thursday. Among their functions will be “identifying and deleting criminal activities in areas with high crime through data and police directed by intelligence”. What does that mean? Probably a little more technology that transforms California into a Minority report-Ystopia in style. But we will have to wait and see.

Newsom also sold trans persons, opposed his veto to legislation that would have allowed children victims of sexual assault to find justice and vetoed a bill of the California legislative assembly in 2023 which would have closed insulin costs. The governor insisted that the insulin price ceiling was not necessary because the state was going to produce its own low -cost version. It’s been two years, and it has not yet happened.

But at least Newsom makes fun tweets, right? And now, apparently, a same.
