The director of Sunderland, Regis Le Bris, signed a new contract until the summer of 2028.

The 49 -year -old man was appointed boss of Black Cats in June 2024 after leaving Lorient.

The Bris led Sunderland to the promotion during his first campaign at The Helm, a 2-1 victory against Sheffield United in the championship’s dam final in May marking the return of the club in the Premier League after an absence of eight years.

“The connection I have with the staff, the players and the supporters was natural, and we shared many moments together,” said the broken, whose team opens its 2025-26 campaign at home in West Ham on August 16.

“The collective ambition is there to see and now there is a desire to become stronger. I can feel the energy and the intention to move forward, and we need it in the next challenges we will face.

“In all parts of the organization, everyone has their own role to play, and we are all aligned.”

Sunderland has signed 10 players while they are preparing for the Premier League, including the club record, the signing of Habib Diarra and the former Arsenal Granit Xhaka captain.
