Raquel Brito, influencer of social media in Brazil, was questioned on alleged illegal game promotions.

Big Brother Winner’s sister Davi Brito published a statement through her lawyer on September 25 in Salvador, the capital of the northeast state of Brazil in Bahia, while she was investigating for alleged ties with illegal game, misleading advertising and money laundering.

The Bohia State Prosecutor’s Office launched the investigation into the driving and activity of the Raquel Brito content creator, based on online game platform promotions, including the Jogo do Tigrinho game ”(Fortune Tiger).

As part of the investigation, the authorities examine if Brito contributed to the financial loss suffered by users of the exposure to these illicit and unregulated platforms.

Brito was accompanied by two lawyers for the appearance in Salvador, but she did not speak directly about the press.

Globo reports that an unhappy incident occurred when those around them left the audience, while the Brito dress was torn apart, leading to an altercation with the media gathered on the scene.

The incident has also been broadcast live by the ARTU TV JUCA program, leading to special attention and online comments.

Wider action targeting influencer promotions and the scourge of unregulated game

The action pursued against Brito is part of a broader repression against influencers and the alleged game mentions, with similar cases targeting personalities such as Tainá Sousa and Bia Miranda.

Likewise, the Ducky Bhai Pakistani Youtuber was arrested earlier this month for alleged game promotions.

The repression in Brazil comes while the country’s permanent subcommittee on sports betting stressed that more attention should be placed on massive revenue losses for the illegal black market.

A public audience at the Congress detailed that the underground game games would generate around 35 billion rands rands ($ 6.4 billion) per year.

It is believed that this is equivalent to about half of all online play activities in Brazil.
