The British lottery national operator deploys 30,000 new terminals for a faster game
The operator of the National Lottery, Allwyn, has embarked on the next stage of his lottery terminal upgrades.
30,000 New Wave lottery terminals should be deployed to the retail partners of the national lottery, improving the previous Altura machines. This comes in the heels of a major technical update from Allwyn, providing more services and a faster game to national lottery users.
According to Allwyn, New Wave machines have a high-speed processor that offers faster transactions, a larger and larger LCD screen for inclination for better accessibility, wireless 1D barcode and 2D code scanners, and a reading pants reader that can be nourished both horizontally and vertically. In addition to improving the experience for users, they also offer retailers more features, such as improved report features and the possibility of modifying the figures on the rapid payment cards of the national lottery.
8,000 retailers have already received waves terminals in the first half, Allwyn pushing the deployment to remaining retail partners at the end of August 11. Blogg continued by saying that national lottery retailers from all over the United Kingdom already using wave machines have spoken positively on new terminals.
