The comic book guide “Wolverine”

Last night, Sony finally revoked the next awaited step of Insomniac in the Marvel game world: exchange the high -flying websing of their Spider Games for a bloody evening in the field of Marvel mutants for Wolverine. Although we have learned that it will certainly be a much bloody vision of the studio brand action, we also learned that Wolverine Will also include some faces, factions and familiar places of comics.
Of course, you know who is already Logan – and just like Spider Before him, Wolverine I will remix and reinvent the comic book for its own unique rotation on Marvel, but here is a quick overview of Who’s Who of the first trailer, and important locations that we know that we will visit.
Where: Canada

Okay, he may seem a little obvious: most people know that Logan himself comes from Canada, so it is not too surprising that we have passionate at least part of our time in Wolverine In the cold north of his homeland (a brief panel seen in the trailer points to us more specifically around Squamish, British Columbia). But what most comics readers may not know is that the Canadian government has a fairly solid story in Marvel’s comics as being Absolutely badly.
The Canadian government has long been branches to monitor and encourage the official activity of superheroes, such as the H department, the surveillance branch which operated the Alpha Canadian Superteam flight, but it has also been shown several times (especially during the legendary race for John Byrne Alpha flight) that the Government of Canada is extremely corrupt and often not well, leading to its various heroes rebel against the machinations of the government. There is also the unfortunate who, perhaps more relevant to Logan, where another The shady department in the Canadian government, department K, surreptitiously the X weapon program after its closure, leading a horrible experiment on subjects when it was trying to re -improve the US plans to create the perfect supersoldier.
It is department K which was actually built on Logan’s previous experiment to give Wade Wilson Logan the healing postman, the transforming into Deadpool in the process (and have their arms program arrested.). But since we know that the premise of Wolverine will focus on a confused Logan trying to recover his memories, he will not be too surprising if going home does not discover dark secrets about the way he was forged in a weapon linked to an Adamantium.
Who: Omega Red

Briefly seen taking place with Wolverine in the trailer, Omega Red – Aka Arkady Rossovich – is another figure that has a long story with Logan, although most of them very Silly reasons. A Russian mutant serial killer, Rossovich was finally arrested by Interpol and awarded to the KGB, who quickly tried to shape him in Russia’s own response to Captain America. In addition to its own mutant capacities – the ability to secrete fatal pheromones known as “death of death” which could kill humans almost instantly – KGB experimentation gave omega a sustainability, strength and reflexes in omega red.
But above all, he had two retractable metal tentacles surgically established in his wrists. Made of carbonadium, the Russian attempt to create a proxy with adamantium, more malleable but also incredibly toxic. The tentacles slowly poisoned Omega, forcing him to use them in combination with his pheromone capacities to drain the vital force of his victims to try to maintain his strength. He would need a “carbonadium synthesizer”, a device that could put carbonadium back and stabilize the poisoning to the radiation he caused, Omega Red was finally put on the ice by the Russian government and deemed too dangerous to control, but it was finally relaunched by Matsu’o Tsurayaba and the hand and said hunting in Wolverine, which allegedly Arkady would have with Logan and the X-Men on and off for decades.
However, it is was In fact, while being part of the Squad X team, Wolverine, Maverick and Sobretooth Sabretooth, Wolverine, Maverick and Sabretooth saw them flying the carbonadium synthesizer while recovering a double CIA agent, Janice Hollenbeck. Hollenbeck died during the mission and Logan finally stored the synthesizer in his coffin for a while. Omega Red has had access to the synthesizer here and there during the nearly 40 years of comics for which he was there, but whatever, he will always be a grudge against Wolverine, and it is apparently not different in this game.
Who: Mystique

The Raven Darkhölme in the form of a diffusion lived many lives in more than a century, and at that time, it was everything, from a mutant terrorist to a government agent to a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and the Hellfire Club and was sometimes even a member of the X-Men itself. The wife of the precognitive mutant destiny-Irène Adler, which Raven met for the first time when she was disguised as an investigator Sherlock Holmes, yes, Raven has deep and deep ties with generations of stories from X-Men, both as an anti-hero and nasty girl, through her connection with her son and the son of Destin, Nightcrawler and their adoptive daughter.
It is not surprising that mystical is in WolverineSince it is also brushed with Logan repeatedly in the comics. The little that we have seen from her in the trailer suggests, however, that this iteration of her can have links with the X-Men, since her tactical costume has a scheme of colors in black and yellow similar to several iterations of X-Men uniforms over the years, and especially considering that we see her fight against the same cybernetic enemies as Logan (more later).
Where: Madripoor

A fictitious island nation of Southeast Asia created in 1985, it is not surprising that Madripoor is a key location in WolverineSince Logan has long been linked to the region (and Asia in general, given its history with Japan). Madripoor played a major role in the Logan solo series of 1988, which largely saw him operate far from the X-Men (which were in their “era of the outback”, after having moved to Australia after having been raw sacrificed in a battle with the being known as the adversary) and in costume, going by “patch”. We see one of Logan’s favorite watering holes in Madripoor’s Lowtown, The Princess Bar, a few times in the trailer.
The modern incarnations of Madripoor have gone from the downturn of hacking. Falcon and the winter soldier –And it appears, according to the little one that we can see, that WolverineMadripoor’s vision is no exception, to maintain the ditch between the slowe island and the more glamorous skyscrapers of Hightown.
Who: the reavers

Logan contrasts a lot – a plot-People from this first trailer, and although many of them come to gallons of blood thanks to that, some of them spring from blood of blood And Losing chic cybernetic members along the way. Thanks to the PlayStation blog, we can assume that these Cyborg mercenaries are the vision of the game on the Reavers.
Initially, another part of the era period of the X-Men outback-the X-Men resume the basis of cyborg thieves as their own place of place of operations in Australia, releasing the footbridge of the mutant teleporter of the imprisonment of reatvers in the process, the Reavers have been reformed in a larger enemy of the Hellfire club. Pierce redesigns the reavers in a paramilitary group with the explicit goal of exterminating the X-Men and Mutantkind in general, combining with Lady Deathstrike in the process. Although the X-Men escape when Pierce’s ravages return to their old Australian enclave, Wolverine returns from Madripoor and finds herself in inferiority, left to be tortured and crucified by the group before being finally saved by Jubilee.
This iteration of the Reavers met their end a few years later, when they are almost entirely destroyed by arrivals in their mutant eradication game, but they have appeared in many iterations since and largely continue to harass the X-Men (and Wolverine in particular, at the level of the youth of Lady Deathstrike).
Who: the Sentinel program

Could it be an X-Men game without sentry appearance? Curiously, there is a slight link between the reavers and the sentries in the comics – the upstarts member Trevor Fitzroy exterminates the Reavers by using reprogrammed versions of the anti -moving robots, although this sentry either in the trailer is connected to WolverineIt remains to see the Reavers.
But yes, you know the sentries at this stage: one of the oldest enemies of Contemporary Mutantkind, the X-Men fought against the iteration after the iteration of the robotic exterminators of Bolivar Trask from the very beginning. To bring it back to our first point, even the Canadian government has built its own sentinel program at some point, showing that the human dream of using giant purple robots to try to erase Mutantkind will never really die. Whoever sees in the trailer is at least in the traditional sentry mold (not to be confused with the main mold, of course), rather than one of the more external advanced sentries like Nimrod or the bastion privileges.
