The purchase of tickets for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will take patience, research and a lot of luck. And the counter is about to start.

From September 10 to 19, Visa Card Holders can enter a pre-sale draw covering the 104 games for the extended tournament of 48 teams, which is co-organized by Canada, the United States and Mexico.

The FIFA lottery is worldwide, with the presale – Visa is a partner of the FIFA World Cup – which will be followed by “multiple” tickets.

This is one of the three ways that Canadians can get tickets.

In addition to the hospital packages (already available), which vary at a price of $ 2,500 for a package in a single match at the limit of the sky for tailor -made experiences, Canadians will also be able to enter a separate lottery for a shooting of Canada football tickets for Canada Games. To do this, you must be a member of the Canadared supporters group, with details of the upcoming timing.

When the visa pre-sale window closes, a random draw will take place. These candidates are fortunate to be drawn in print by e-mail before September 29, with a dedicated date and slot (from October 1 to 21) to go online and buy tickets, subject to availability.

Persons interested in the presale must first register with FIFA, 18 years or over (and have a visa card). Other payment options are authorized for the following ticket windows.

The cheapest ticket for group phase matches will be $ 82, the lowest in the four price categories – and the furthest from the field. This goes to $ 9,200 for the most expensive ticket for the championship match.

FIFA provides, however, that these are prices at the start of ticket sales and will change subject to requests, including during the presale. So expect prices to increase.

Fans will be able to buy up to four tickets per game – for up to 10 games. Thus, a maximum of 40 tickets.

With the full landscape of the tournament which does not know before the draw on December 5 in Washington, DC, the initial presale will be somewhat blind in terms of who plays where, apart from the already announced location of the group team matches (Canada opens on July 12 in Toronto before moving to Vancouver for July 18 and 24).

However, fans can apply in the presale for generic tickets in a single match, specific tickets instead (Toronto organizes six games in total, with Vancouver stagnating seven) and specific team tickets (a package that includes the three group group matches for a specific side).

The pre-sale of the initial visa will involve around a million tickets. FIFA has not provided a number on the total tickets that will be available for the tournament.

The pre-sale will be followed by an “early draw, the registration window of which should take place from October 27 to 31, with hourly facilities for the purchase of mid-November to the beginning of December.

Other windows will follow in the first two quarters of 2026, fans capable of applying for specific matches with the knowledge of who plays where.

Canadian fans will be able to apply for Canada’s matches thanks to the FIFA draw (although they will not be seated in the Canadian supporters section at the stadium). Fans of other countries can buy a specific team package and obtain a refund in case their team does not qualify.

FIFA also plans to launch its own resale platform for tickets.

Canada football has not yet provided details on the lottery of its tickets via its Repudé Canadared program, which is a widely widely used version to distribute Canada game tickets during the 2022 tournament in Qatar – The first Canadian male trip to the football window since 1986.

There are seven levels, ranging from free to $ 5,000 per year, with tax receipts available for the charitable component of each contribution. A separate lottery will take place for each of Canada’s matches, with an equal number of tickets allocated to a draw at each level of Canadared. The unsuccessful members of the lottery at their level become eligible for the lottery at the lower levels.

In other words, the higher the level, the better the chances of getting a ticket – and the more the advantages.

Canada football obtains eight percent of “purchasing stocks” for each Canada match during the World Cup, distributed in different price categories.

With a tournament capacity of 45,000 for BMO Field and 54,000 for BC Place, eight percent translate respectively by 3,600 and 4,320. But the available number for Canada’s Canada Lottery will be smaller, with tickets assigned to FIFA, sponsors, media and superior quality hospital packages.

Canadared members will be able to request conditional tickets for possible direct elimination matches from Canada.
